Basketball Recap: South Jones Comes Up Short

South Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 58-39 bruising from the Bay Springs Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 35th).

South Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Bay Springs, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

South Jones will take on Brookhaven in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bay Springs, they will be home for the holidays to greet Laurel on Friday. Laurel will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Bay Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
