Baseball Recap: Latta Now 11-1 over Last 12 Games

Latta lost to Hannah-Pamplico on Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Raiders.

Mason Weatherford and BW Berry were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Weatherford didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Berry tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts Weatherford has posted since back in March. At bat, Weatherford went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Berry went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Latta is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hannah-Pamplico, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

As of now, neither Latta nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
