Basketball Recap: Forest Area Takes a Loss

Forest Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds, falling 81-20. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 710th, while the Snowbirds are ranked 343rd).

Forest Area's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for St. Mary Cathedral, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Forest Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-29 loss against Grand Traverse Academy on the 20th. As for St. Mary Cathedral, they will face off against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
