Considering the Eagles have won 18 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sophie Paryaski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 25 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mariah Wright was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Chloe Paryaski was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Lutheran Northwest couldn't beat Lutheran on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Crusaders took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.
Alyssa Parets was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Conners, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Plymouth Christian Academy pushed their record up to 23-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Lutheran Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Plymouth Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Lutheran Northwest struggles in that department as they've averaged .402. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
