Preview: Immanuel Christian Warriors vs. Trinity Christian Gryphons
Immanuel Christian is 0-3 against Trinity Christian since February of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Immanuel Christian Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Trinity Christian Gryphons at 6:30 p.m. Trinity Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Immanuel Christian, who comes in off a win.
Immanuel Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 79-72 win over King Abdullah Academy. The win was just what Immanuel Christian needed coming off of a 90-60 loss in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immanuel Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Blanding, who almost dropped a triple-double on 24 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists. Those 12 assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Baldwin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Seton an easy 67-41 victory. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Seton is ranked 25th).
The win got Immanuel Christian back to even at 4-4. As for Trinity Christian, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4.
