Soccer Recap: Greenwood Christian Takes a Loss

Greenwood Christian fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Spartanburg Day on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Griffins who were credited with the victory. The Spartanburg Day Griffins got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Greenwood Christian Hawks' two. Greenwood Christian were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Spartanburg Day earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Eli Seigler and Tyler Lippens scored both of Greenwood Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.
