Jal piles up the points against Hondo Valley

The Jal Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Hondo Valley at home to the tune of 78-21. That looming 78-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Jal yet this season.

Leading Jal to victory were A3 Rodriguez and Gabriel Juarez. Rodriguez scored 14 points, while Juarez scored 19 points. The matchup was Juarez's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Arroyo, who scored 11 points.

Jal's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Hondo Valley, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-5.

Jal won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:15 p.m. on January 5th. Hondo Valley will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against New Mexico Military Institute at 9:00 a.m. on January 6th.
