 Goldsboro has been on the road for four straight, but  on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Eastern Wayne Warriors at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Goldsboro and Eastern Wayne are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
 Goldsboro will head into Tuesday's  game ready to turn things around: they lost a close one when they played  on Tuesday but unfortunately for them the  loss they were handed  on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They lost  12-5 to Spring Creek. Goldsboro has struggled against Spring Creek recently, as their  contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Meanwhile, Eastern Wayne waltzed into their matchup  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged the Panthers out  4-2.
  Mallory Reed was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Reed has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Reed was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Goldsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Eastern Wayne, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Goldsboro suffered a grim  15-0 defeat to Eastern Wayne  in their previous matchup  back in April. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of   Reed, who   struck out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk).
