Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Evansville hit Clinton with a seven-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars lost 11-2 to the Blue Devils. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Evansville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

While Clinton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
