Preview: Coolidge Yellowjackets vs. Bynum Bulldogs
Coolidge is 10-0 against the Bulldogs since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Coolidge Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Bynum Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Coolidge is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Coolidge was beaten by the Panthers 55-23. Coolidge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.
Meanwhile, Bynum narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wolverines 31-29.
Bynum's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madi Westmoreland led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 blocks. Brooklyn Compean was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Bynum, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Coolidge barely slipped by the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January, winning 36-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coolidge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
