Softball Recap: West Charlotte Comes Up Short

North Mecklenburg hit West Charlotte with a six-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions came up short against the Vikings, falling 16-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 25, 2024, but that streak is no more.

West Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for North Mecklenburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

As of now, neither West Charlotte nor North Mecklenburg have any future games scheduled.
