Volleyball Recap: Huntsville Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against A&M Consolidated, Huntsville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rudder Rangers. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Rudder lost, don't look at Daniela Ponce. Despite the final result, she had 26 digs and four assists. Riley Wilson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

The win got Huntsville back to even at 17-17. As for Rudder, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-19 record this season.

Huntsville will challenge Lake Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rudder, they will take on A&M Consolidated at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Rangers surely won't give up without a fight.
