Baseball Recap: Rochester Takes a Loss

Rochester had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 10-11 to make it four. They lost 11-0 to the La Center Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for La Center, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 19-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games.

For La Center's part, the result came thanks to Austin Aseph's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks. Aseph has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Justin Fuller was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Caden Taylor, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Rochester nor La Center have any future games scheduled.
