Basketball Game Preview: Calverton vs. Chopticon Braves

Calverton will take on the Chopticon Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Calverton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to International High School at Largo for the full four quarters, racking up an 82-7 victory. The win was some much needed relief for Calverton as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Calverton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reagan Krukar out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Krukar, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chopticon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Westlake by a score of 50-43 on Friday.

Calverton's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Chopticon, they have also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
