Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Etiwanda Eagles
The Dixie Flyers are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Etiwanda Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Wednesday, Dixie strolled past Crimson Cliffs with points to spare, taking the game 75-59.
Dixie relied on the efforts of Jordan Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 assists, and Breckon Robinson, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Robinson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Lemke, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Etiwanda put another one in the bag last Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 65-49 win over Canyon. Given Etiwanda's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Canyon is ranked 52nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dixie's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Etiwanda, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
