Soccer Recap: Norfolk Takes a Loss

If Norfolk was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Lincoln Northeast last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Lincoln Southeast Knights by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. That makes it the first time this season Norfolk have let down their home crowd.

Norfolk's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lincoln Southeast, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norfolk will take on Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln Southeast, they will square off against Kearney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kearney's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Lincoln Southeast's offense will have their work cut out for them.
