Baseball Recap: Flagler Palm Coast's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Flagler Palm Coast had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Pine Ridge Panthers on Thursday as they made off with a 7-1 win. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th.

Adam Kleinfelder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Flagler Palm Coast's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 6-2 (and 2-13 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Carson Flis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Nole Hemmerle was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Flagler Palm Coast's victory bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Pine Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6-2.

Flagler Palm Coast has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Columbia on the 4th. As for Pine Ridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against New Smyrna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
