Volleyball Recap: Avon Starts off Right with Win over Highland

Avon took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Highland Hornets by a score of 2-0. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2020.

Avon easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-17.

Avon found their leader in sophomore Ally Brediger, who had 11 digs and three assists.

Coincidentally, Avon and Highland will both be playing Jackson the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Polar Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
