Volleyball Recap: Avon Starts Season with Win at Home

Avon took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Highland Hornets by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Avon easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-17.

Avon found their leader in sophomore Ally Brediger, who had 11 digs and three assists.

Coincidentally, Avon and Highland will both be playing Jackson the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Polar Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
