Soccer Recap: Citrus Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Citrus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over the Hernando Leopards on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

Citrus' offense was hitting Hernando from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Leah Smallridge led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Citrus' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Hernando, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

After both having extra time off, Citrus and Fivay will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Hernando and Central will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hernando is facing Central at the right time seeing as Central is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
