Volleyball Recap: Blackhawk Comes Up Short

The Blackhawk Cougars came up short against the Hopewell Vikings on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Blackhawk ultimately came up short, they really made Hopewell work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-11.

Blackhawk's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blackhawk will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln Park Performing Arts at 6:00 p.m. on September 11. As for Hopewell, they will host Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season.
