Volleyball Recap: Argyle Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Argyle hadn't done well against Pecatonica recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Orioles blew past the Vikings 3-0. The win was familiar territory for the Orioles, who have now won five contests in a row.

While Argyle won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-23.

Argyle found their leader in sophomore Brynn Harris, who had 14 digs.

Despite the loss, Pecatonica still got an impressive performance from Tatum Kurschner, who had 11 digs and three aces. Kurschner has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cayla Doescher, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Argyle's victory bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Pecatonica, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Argyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pecatonica, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Black Hawk on the 16th.
