Volleyball Recap: Sherwood Comes Up Short

Sherwood saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benton Cardinals. The Marksmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Aubrey McCulloh paced Sherwood's offense, picking up four kills. McCulloh also shared the team's lead in assists with Cooper McDonald: they picked up four each. McCulloh was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Sherwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Benton, they moved to 3-9 with that victory, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Coincidentally, Sherwood and Benton will both be playing Lincoln College Prep the next time they take the court. The Marksmen will head out to face the Blue Tigers at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 12:10 p.m.
