Football Game Preview: Mojave Mustangs vs. Milken Wildcats

The Mojave Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Milken Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mojave has given up an average of 40.2 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mojave is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 82 points last Saturday, they were much more limited against Mammoth on Friday. They were beaten by the Huskies 55-8. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Huskies are ranked third).

Meanwhile, Milken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-28 heartbreaker at the hands of Santa Clarita Christian.

Mojave will have to contain Theo Fleischman as he made an impact in Milken's last game. He picked up 198 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Fleischman's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.

Milken's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mojave, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
