Baseball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe suffered their closest loss since April 23rd on Saturday. They fell just short of the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders by a score of 5-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Saturday.

Monroe has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for L'Anse Creuse North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-15.

Looking ahead, Monroe will be playing at home against Saline at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for L'Anse Creuse North, they will head out to challenge Utica at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
