Soccer Preview: Reed vs. Reno
The Reed Raiders will face off against the Reno Huskies at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Reed headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Hug let them put that streak behind them. Reed was the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Hug on Saturday. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.
Meanwhile, Reno's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They put the hurt on Douglas with a sharp 6-1 victory.
Reno's offense was hitting Douglas from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.
Simone Frey led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
The win got Reed back to even at 3-3-2. As for Reno, they now have a winning record of 2-1-5.
