Basketball Recap: Mission Hills Comes Up Short

Mission Hills lost against San Marcos back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mission Hills Grizzlies took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Marcos Knights. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Knights are ranked 32nd).

Jalen Williams was his usual excellent self, going 5-for-12 en route to 16 points and three steals for San Marcos. Another player making a difference was Richie Ramirez, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 13 points and six boards.

Mission Hills' loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for San Marcos, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-3.

As of now, neither Mission Hills nor San Marcos have any future games scheduled.
