Capital came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Jefferson Raiders as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Capital pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Capital will square off against Peninsula at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will challenge Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
