Volleyball Recap: Marana Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Marana lost against Ironwood Ridge back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Nighthawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since October 1st.

While Marana ultimately came up short, they really made Ironwood Ridge work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 26-24, 25-18.

Ella Bowser paced Marana's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bowser got some help from Amaris Fuentes and her 17 assists. Sophia Reis controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Marana's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-11. As for Ironwood Ridge, they pushed their record up to 21-15 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Marana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ironwood Ridge, they will host Rincon/University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
