Baseball Recap: Tenino Comes Up Short

Tenino was the 6-1 winner over Hoquiam when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers came up short against the Grizzlies on Friday, falling 13-3.

Tenino saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Bennett, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Bennett has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Tenino dropped their record down to 3-16-1 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Hoquiam, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tenino will face off against Adna at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Beavers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hoquiam, they will square off against Lake Quinault at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
