Football Recap: Bishop Shanahan Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Bishop Shanahan has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 35-26 to the Downingtown East Cougars on Friday. The Eagles lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-28 score last time.

Bishop Shanahan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Downingtown East, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bishop Shanahan will challenge Coatesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Downingtown East, they will take on Downingtown West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Whippets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
