Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mary Katherine Whitehurst and Sophie Hester Lead Bayside Academy to Victory

Bayside Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Decatur on Saturday. The Admirals walked away with a 2-0 win over the Red Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Admirals.

Leading Bayside Academy to victory were Sophie Hester and Mary Katherine Whitehurst. Hester had three digs and two aces, while Whitehurst had 15 digs. Hester is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 19 every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory got Bayside Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Decatur, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Bayside Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Lewisburg on the 23rd. As for Decatur, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against John Carroll Catholic on the 23rd.
