Soccer Recap: Shannon Takes a Loss

Shannon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Amory Panthers, falling 8-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Shannon's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Amory, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Shannon has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 defeat against Houston on the 17th. As for Amory, they will face off against Mooreville at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
