Baseball Recap: Roanoke Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Roanoke Valley Christian might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Temple Christian who claimed the real prize. The EAGLES took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The EAGLES were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Roanoke Valley Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Wayne, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Roanoke Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Temple Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Roanoke Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Christian Heritage Academy on the 17th. As for Temple Christian, they have also already played their next match, an 11-0 loss against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on the 18th.
