Maywood Academy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 12-3.

Maywood Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Francisco De La Torre, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Marquez has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.08 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-0 to Wilson. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Gladiators were not able to get on the board.

The defeat snapped Marquez's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record. As for Maywood Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
