            Softball Recap: Perryville Panthers vs. Joppatowne Mariners        
        
		
        
        
            After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Perryville brought some dynamite into their most recent  contest. They put the hurt on the Joppatowne Mariners with a sharp  14-1 win on Wednesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Mariners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Taegan Spier made a big impact no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Spier was also big at the plate,  scoring four  runs and  stealing four bases while going 2-for-5. Those  hits marked the first that  she  got this season.
 In other batting news,  Taylor McGuirk was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-5. Those  runs were  her first of the season.
