Rhys Brush had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 127 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. Princeton Clark was Brush's top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Armwood's run defense was locked in: Viera could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Ronnie Baker for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in August.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Otezric Evans, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, South Lake's game on Friday was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Osceola with a 19-13 win.
South Lake's win came from a few key players Armwood will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tre Kelly, who threw for 233 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84% of his passes, and also rushed for 54 yards and one score. Malik Holman was another key player, rushing for 157 yards.
South Lake's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Armwood, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.
