Gulfport had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-42 victory over the Harrison Central Red Rebels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-27 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Harrison Central saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ke'Adrian Brown posted eight points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for Brown. Another player making a difference was Shaun Murray, who had seven points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Gulfport pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Harrison Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Gulfport will head out on the road to face off against Meridian at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrison Central, they will be playing at home against D'Iberville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
