Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Warriors vs. Quantico Warriors
The St. Michael the Archangel Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 27 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 73-15 blowout they got at home against Quantico. The victory was just what St. Michael the Archangel needed coming off of a 47-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Michael the Archangel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anjalia Bryant , who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least 25% of St. Michael the Archangel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janaye Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 20 rebounds.
Quantico lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Liliana Ramos, who scored six points.
St. Michael the Archangel now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Quantico, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
St. Michael the Archangel will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fredericksburg V at 5:00 p.m. As for Quantico, they will head out on the road to face off against Foxcroft at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
