Basketball Recap: Danville Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Danville rose to the challenge on Friday. They secured a 59-53 W over the Jersey Shore Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Ironmen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Danville found their leader in freshman Benjamin Koser, who went 10-for-11 on his way to 21 points along with five boards and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Koser has scored all season. Nicholas Hand was another key player, putting up five points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

Danville's record is now 17-7. As for Jersey Shore, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.

Danville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-41 win against Mount Carmel on the 25th. Jersey Shore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
