Basketball Game Preview: Broadview/Lavina Pirates vs. Billings Christian Warriors

The Broadview/Lavina Pirates will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Billings Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Saturday, Broadview/Lavina took their game with ease, bagging a 69-30 victory over Froid/Medicine Lake. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Billings Christian). They claimed a resounding 72-26 win over Yellowstone HomeSchool. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 55 points per game.

Billings Christian's win came from a few key players Broadview/Lavina will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sawyer Middendorf, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Gabe Jones, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Billings Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
