The Potomac Falls Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Heritage Pride at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Potomac Falls is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Potomac Falls came up short against South Lakes on Friday, falling 11-4.

Lyla Daugherty-Moysey was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zariah Ricks, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one double.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Heritage, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Chantilly 4-3. The Pride's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Gabbie Haynie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that she got this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paityn Carr, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That run was her first of the season. Victoria Pleasants was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Heritage's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Potomac Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Potomac Falls came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 9-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Potomac Falls since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
