Basketball Game Preview: Goshen Eagles vs. Luverne Tigers

Goshen is 1-9 against Luverne since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Goshen Eagles will square off against the Luverne Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Goshen is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season back in December of 2024. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-38 heartbreaker at the hands of Samson.

Meanwhile, Luverne had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Calhoun 56-29. Luverne has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Goshen's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Luverne, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6.

Goshen was dealt a bruising 53-24 defeat at the hands of Luverne when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Goshen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
