Volleyball Recap: Community Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Marianna

There's no place like home for Community Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Marianna Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Community Christian never let Marianna on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 27-25.

Avea Casperson paced Community Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Casperson got some help from Sarah Bradley and her 36 assists. Casperson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 14 aces.

Community Christian's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Marianna, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Coming up, Community Christian will head out to face off against North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marianna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Port St. Joe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
