Basketball Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

Grant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-16 loss at the hands of the Wossman Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Wildcats are ranked third).

Grant's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Wossman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant will host Rapides at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Grant is facing Rapides at the right time seeing as Rapides is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wossman, they will square off against West Ouachita at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. West Ouachita will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Wossman surely won't give up without a fight.
