James Madison waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They beat the Stratford Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-5.

James Madison pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Stratford, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-3-2.

Looking ahead, James Madison will host West Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stratford, they will venture away from home to square off against Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Stags' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
