Recap: Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes vs. Skyline Raiders
In what's become a running theme this season, the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Skyline at home to the tune of 84-41. The win was nothing new for Duncanville as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Duncanville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariah Clayton, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Laila Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Duncanville pushed their record up to 22-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Skyline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14.
Duncanville will head out on the road to square off against DeSoto at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DeSoto has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 293 points over their last four contests. As for Skyline, they will be playing at home against Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mansfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 474th, while Skyline is ranked 112th).
