Football Recap: Nanakuli Comes Up Short

Nanakuli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 66-43 to the Waipahu Marauders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Hawks of the 36-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2018.

Nanakuli's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Waipahu, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Nanakuli will host Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Waipahu, they will venture away from home to take on 'Aiea at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
