Shawnee snaps six-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Shawnee Renegades vs. Burlington Township Falcons

It was a good run, but the Shawnee Renegades unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burlington Township. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shawnee in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Burlington Township found their leader in underclassman Quayd Hendryx, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Hendryx pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aharon Satchell, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Shawnee's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Burlington Township, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shawnee will challenge the Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cherry Hill West's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Burlington Township, they will head out on the road to face off against the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
