Softball Recap: Cross Lanes Christian Wins Going Away Against Hannan

While Cross Lanes Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let the Hannan Wildcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Cassidy Witt was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those stolen bases were her first of the season.

In other batting news, Elliet Malcomb was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. Jordan Ellison was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Cross Lanes Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cross Lanes Christian's record is now 4-1. As for Hannan, they dropped their record down to 0-3-1 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cross Lanes Christian will face off against Elk Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hannan, they have already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against West Carter on the 2nd.
